What is an endocannabinoid?
An endocannabinoid is a neurotransmitter (biochemical signal) which is produced within the body. Anandamide and 2-AG are two examples of endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids are very important for the modulation and maintenance of nearly all the systems of the body.
What is the ECS?
The EndoCannabinoid System is the cell signaling system known to exist within all mammals. It is comprised of enzymes, receptors, and transmitters. Primarily, the ECS is involved in regulation and functional homeostasis of major systems of the body, including the immune and endocrine systems.
What is the Difference between Hemp and Cannabis?
From a Federal Regulatory perspective, Hemp contains less than .3% THC and therefore potentiates no psychoactivity.. In contrast to Cannabis, which contains more than .3% THC.
Plant breeding and selecting for specific traits over time is largely responsible for divergent phenotypes within the cannabis and hemp plants.
The .3% THC maximum for hemp plants is a largely arbitrary number, with no real basis is scientific research and study.
What is CBD?
CBD or (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of... More (pronounced can-uh-bid-eye-all) is one of the over 100 known phytocannabinoids produced by the Hemp plant. It is not.
Chronic inflammation has proven to be major cause of disease progression in all systems of the body.
Phytocannabinoids, CBD included, are known to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, phytocannabinoids interact with the same natural receptors in the body as do endocannabinoids.

When something is tinctured, it is steeped in a grain alcohol solvent. This pulls the pulls the alcohol soluble molecules out of the plant.
A carrier oil is often times referred to as MCT Oil. MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides. Carriers oils are utilized in formulations because of their lipophilic nature. They help with absorption within the body. Mixing CBD with a carrier oil increases the body’s ability to absorb the phytocannabinoid. Common carrier oils include Palm Oil*, Coconut OIl, Olive Oil and Hemp seed oil.
Hemp seed Oil is not stable at room temperature and should be refrigerated to ensure it does not go rancid.
*If choosing a product with Palm Oil, be sure to find a source that is Rainforest Certified. Palm Oil cultivation is currently having devastating impacts for one of a kind rainforest ecosystems and habitats.
